Everyone should come out Saturday, March 12 at 1pm for a contest sponsored by Vitamin Water, Durham Central Park, and Alkaline Skateboards.
We need you to come help us lay some brick today (Saturday, Feb 26th) starting at 9am. If you want the skatepark to get better, come help.
What do you guys think of this possible improvement? It would fix the drainage issues we have at the bottom of the stairs, and it would get rid of some of that annoying mulch that makes you fall. Once we get approval by the city, we need some guys to help us build it.
On September 22, a group of about 5 skaters (including Ujamaa Boardshop owner, Nic Spaulding) met at the Durham Parks and Rec building to discuss how to improve the skatepark for both the skaters, and the community surrounding the park.
