In case you missed it, the Foundation Team was at our park on Sunday. And stupid me, I didn’t realize it until they made this post on Tum Yeto: Live from the road. I was sitting right beside them… they were hard to miss, especially Gareth Stehr with that beard.

Skatemodo.com got a chance to sit down the owner of Ujamaa Boardhouse here in Durham 2 days before the big grand opening of the new Durham Skatepark.
The new pool is open, and it is steep. I’m not complaining, because it is super fun. I can’t wait to see what kind of gnarlyness goes down… those construction guys are off the chain.
The rest of the park is pretty close to finished as well… I’d say it’s about 85% done. [...]
I stopped by the park this afternoon. Two guys were working on it. They were in charge of all of the walls, stairs and rails. They seemed to be doing a good job… although I am not completely convinced that they knew what they were doing… They asked me how [...]
